| The City Hotel Mátyás***, in the Budapest downtown just a couple of minutes from the pedestrian quarter and beautiful Váci Street with its array of fine shops, is the first member of the City Hotel Chain. We established the hotel above the famous historical Matthias Cellar restaurant. In its first year we had 25 rooms, but continually increasing guest numbers made it necessary to expand capacity, thus today guests will find 85 rooms at their disposal. Our speciality is that the plentiful buffet breakfast is prepared in the world famous Matthias Cellar.
Rooms: 85 rooms (3 single, 9 triple, 67 double rooms with twin beds, 6 suites). Standard double room: each of the comfortable and bright rooms has a bathroom with shower. Rooms are equipped to high standards, and include a king-size bed or twin beds. Average size of room 20 sq.m.
